We receive no financial assistance so every purchase you make helps us keep up the good work! First edition, published 1938 by Western Mail & Echo Limited (Cardiff and London). This volume charts the story of Instone Airways, a pioneering airline working from Croydon. The airline was later subsumed into Imperial Airways (ultimately British Airways). Sub-titled "Air Transport Memories 1919-1924", 19cm x 13cm, 196 pages, with B/W photo plates. Ex-library copy with loan stampings registered from 1938 to 1948. Some looseness to spine and in well used condition. Nonetheless an extremely rare example of this early aviation title. Proceeds from the sale of this item will be donated to the Wensleydale Railway Association Track Appeal - help us reach our target of at least £100,000.
