However, as we mainly deal in 18th and 19th century paintings, peoples opinions can differ. When the condition is described as good, this does relate to the age of the item and is compared to the majority of paintings from that period. If the item is described as Gallery Condition, we are stating that the painting is in excellent condition. When restoration or repairs are required, this is also stated in the listing.
