Captain Rees Howell Gronow 1794-1865 soldier, politician, a dandy, a debtor, a duelist, and a raconteur who lived the high life in regency London and Paris. He was also a talented writer and his memoirs give a lively picture of regency society.

With a frontispiece plate in colour.

CONDITION
Three quarter leather binding with slight wear, spine with raised bands and giltl lettered titles, paper edges marbled, foxing to some pages.

Signature of T.G. Bonnin dated 1943 on front endpaper plus his bookplate on fixed front endpaper.
Size is 7¼ by 5 inches.
