This is an interesting black and white postcard showing the Khyber Pass and Ali Musjid in India during the early 1900s.
Shows a man with pith helmet sitting on the back of a horse and cart, looking very authorative, with his arms folded. Facing towards a group of turbaned men in a ditch beside the roadway, with horses. Rocky hills surrounding.
Published by Mela Ram, photographer, Peshawar.
The card has not been postally used. 1908-1919.
It is in very good condition for its age, with just some minor scuffing on the corners.
Nostalgic memories from the Indian Khyber Pass, over 90 years ago, worth further research!
