EAR 509 Mk II 100 Watt Valve Monoblocks (pair)

 Lovely clean condition pair of Esoteric Audio Research 509 Mk II 100 Watt per channel valve monoblock amplifiers (my poor quality camera really does not do them justice in the photographs !) designed by the legendary Tim de Paravicini and capable of outstanding quality sound reproduction and - unusually for a tube amp - genuine high power output producing realistic volume levels even without using the highest efficiency speakers.  This makes them unusually versatile and a good match even for hard to drive electrostatics or panel speakers.

Unfortunately, the Input socket on one of these amps has become detached (as shown in picture 3) and will need to be re-soldered but this really is the most minor possible repair.  Other than that single issue this is a low usage pair of amplifiers in superb working order.  Once repaired, these amps should give trouble free usage for years to come.

The original boxes are available for ease of transportation but, unfortunately, I cannot arrange delivery as I have no car.

Please note : these amps are HEAVY !! so postage is really NOT an option as it would be ruinously expensive.  Payment will be accepted by PayPal, personal cheque (which will need time to clear before collection) banker's draft/building society counter cheque or cash on collection.

Serial Numbers for these units are : R011802 and R021802.  They are set up for UK voltage and have outputs suitable for either 4 ohm or 8 ohm impedence.
