~Rare~...E. Buysse South Bend, Ind..... (Made in the U.S.A.).. Pat. Date July 1, 1902... # 1307..two bird racing pigeon timer/clock....One of the very "Rare Ones" in the early 1900's ....The original pocket watch's are from"Century" one of them is missing the second hand....and on the same pocket watch at the 9:00 o'clock area some small damage to the face of it...all levers work ...but watch's do not work....a big plus is the "Key" to wind these watch's...I say that because most were lost along the way in the past years...In a adv. in "The American Racing Pigeon"...March 15, 1906 issue .. Edward Buysse of South Bend, Indiana ...called his timer "The Buysse Timer" and were being sold at $8.00 each...his selling point was why "Rent" one when you can own one...he had a point and I think his was by far the best two bird timer in the U.S.A. in the very early 1900's..... he Guaranteed these timers for 1 year........missing is the short brass rod that was placed in the hole seen in one of the photo's...this rod was to keep close the three piece unit along with a hole in it where the lead and wire seal was inserted... the timer measure's ...3 1/4"x 5"x 1 1/4"....the key is 1 1/4" in length... there are some names on this timer that have been placed....CONDSIDERING THE AGE...this unit is in very good overall condition ....YOU BUY AS IS!!.....ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!....
