Borax Substitute

The new Borax Substitute has a number of qualities that make it ideal for a variety of laundry tasks.. It has a mild bleaching effect because it converts small amounts of water into Hydrogen Peroxide. It softens the water to increase the efficiency of your conventional detergent, therefore meaning less detergent is needed. Finally, it has disinfecting and deodorizing properties making them ideal for extremely dirty garments such as cloth nappies, tea towels and pet blankets

Cleaning

Sprinkle Borax Substitute onto surfaces and wipe down with a damp cloth or make a solution of two tablespoons of Borax Substitute in a litre of hot water.  Use to wipe down surfaces and remove stains in kitchens and bathrooms. To remove stubborn stains, make a paste of Borax Substitute and apply directly to the stain. Leave for a few minutes and then wipe off. To make a gentle scouring paste, mix equal amounts of Borax Substitute, Bicarbonate of Soda* and Cooking Salt, then add water to make a paste. Simply apply to surfaces or equipment and then wipe clean.

Laundry

Borax Substitute can be used to remove stains and soften hard water. Pre-soak: Mix approximately one third of a packet of Borax Substitute to a bucket of hot water, add clothes and leave to soak. Wash as normal after soaking. For difficult stains, make a paste of Borax Substitute with water and apply directly to stain, allow to stand then wash as normal.

When added to conventional laundry detergent, Borax Substitute has a mild brightening effect – but without any harmful effects on the environment. This will help environmentally-aware shoppers to buy non-bio washing detergent without compromising on the quality of the wash. Not only will the Borax Substitute ensure that whites stay white, but it also is extremely effective at removing stubborn stains.
