Max began in comics as part of the emerging Barcelona underground movement. In 1979 he started working in El Vibora magazine which made him one of the best known Spanish cartoonists with the Ignatz Prize (USA 1999) and Grand Prize at the Barcelona Comics Fair (2000) to his name. In the mid-1980s he began to actively dedicate himself to illustrations, record covers, posters, books plus drawing for newspapers and magazines. In 1997 he won the Spanish Ministry of Culture's National Illustration Prize. His tireless visual experimentation has led him to explore very different stylistic avenues, however, the reader will always recognise his unique and unmistakeable clear line way of doing things.Full colour hardcover 144 pages 27 x 23cm.
