An old rare Dr Dettweiler pocket size blue glass

sputum / spittoon flask with metal screw cap at one end

and metal spring loaded push button attachment at the other end.

Dr Dettweiler written in embossed script on both sides of the flask.

Dr Dettweiler was a pioneer in the treatment of tuberculosis

and this flask would have been used literally as a miniature spittoon.

The flask measures approximately 11 cms total in length.
