These boys endured while they try to 'do Europe' without even enough money to buy a bag of crisps. The scrapes they get into while trying to earn money with their bad music make hilarious reading, and I found it refreshing to read a travel book that knocks down the traditional barriers of taste, tolerance and morality in favour of having fun. The same authors wrote "Don't Mention The War" (also listed). It is an excellent follow up to "Don't Lean Out Of The Window". The patheticness and futility of their actions at times, is something most of us can relate to on our travels! Both books never really make an attempt at being informative, but instead concentrate on telling a 'ripping yarn'! Un-contrived humour and skillful writing combine to make both an enjoyable, and VERY funny read.
