This delightful miniature is based on the traditional

 Welsh harp.

The harp is one of the most ancient string instruments.

They are believed to have first been played by the Egyptians ,5000 years ago.

Here you can see the detailed carvings inside the instrument.

The original Welsh harp was made from spruce or western red ceder.This little model has the same reddish brown coloured with a glossy finish to simulate thr layers of french polish.

 

It measures 4 1/2" tall x 2 1/4 " wide.

Your harp  comes to you in a red velvety lined box.

This is not a toy .Adult collectors item only .Not suitable under 14 years.
