Insurance is optional however lost/damaged items cannot be replaced or refunded if insurance is not taken at time of purchase unless Royal Mail agree to refund.

I will always have a certificate of posting and I will claim for a lost or damaged item from Royal Mail, however Royal Mail have rules

UK - A package is not declared lost until after 15 working days (3 weeks)

International - A package is not declared lost until after 30 working days (1 Month)

I will refund on receipt of refund from Royal Mail and keep you updated on email.
