Dinky Toys 30v/490 - NCB ELECTRIC VAN (Milk Float) - EXPRESS DAIRY.

The Dinky Toys 30v/490 Electric Van was manufactured by Meccano, in the UK, from 1949 to 1960. Originally issued as 30v, the number was changed to 490 in 1954. Two colours only were produced, throughout the production run. these being cream and grey. The model was originally supplied to the retailer in trade boxes of six but an individual box was introduced at some point after renumbering.

There was also a version with an "NBC" logo, available during the same period. This shared the same number, 30v but became 491 in 1954.  In addition, a promotion version, again carrying the 491 number was produced in 1960 for Job's Dairy. 

The Model on offer is a grey version. The number 30v is cast into the base plate but this probably remained constant even after renumbering.

 MODEL:  The item is in good condition, although chipped on raised. The "Express Dairy" decals are intact. Nice example, clean and tidy in appearance. 

BOX: No box is available (As a 30v it would not have had an individual box) .
