Buzzards View Cottage Golland Farm, Golland Lane, Burrington, Umberleigh, Devon, EX37 9JP Sleeps 6-7 Golland is a mixed organic farm is set in the rolling hills of the Taw Valley, ideally situated between Dartmoor and Exmoor. The farm is an oasis where indigenous flora and fauna have been allowed to flourish. You can explore the meadows and woodland, picnic by the small river where wild brown trout are abundant, and if quiet you may even see the otters playing around the brook. All the animals on the farm are traditional rare breeds. The Farm has its own water supply straight from the ground and is environmentally aware encouraging all guests to recycle and shop locally.

All our cottages are equipped with spacious kitchens, flat screen TV/DVDs and have wood burners (a full basket of logs is provided) and beautiful views. There is a communal laundry room and a play barn with table tennis and table football and children can also play in the outdoor play area with a slide, swings and a large trampoline. There is a wildlife trail around the farm for you to explore. There are two carp ponds for fishing (free for guests) and brownies, sea trout and salmon in the brook. Walkers can enjoy acres of stunning farmland including water meadows filled with glorious wild flowers and fantastic wildlife. The Tarka Trail which passes the farm on its 180 mile route around North Devon. Bridleway cottages are surrounded by high moorlands where you can take in some spectacular scenery. Chulmleigh, a small and friendly village is a 5 minute drive from the farm has a bakery, butchers, deli, veg shop, curry house, 3 pubs, post office and restaurant.

Buzzards View is one of 4 converted farm buildings, with an upstairs downstairs arrangement. The upstairs living room has stunning views over the Taw Valley below via floor to ceiling windows. There is a TV/DVD and wood burner in the living room for which a full basket of logs is supplied, which enjoys a well equipped open plan kitchen as well. There is a high chair and stair gate in the kitchen for toddlers. The cottage sleeps 6 via two doubles and bunk beds. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge and a cot in the bunk room. There is a bathroom and separate shower room, each with a wc. There is a south facing patio, with BBQ and a lawned area at the back. Bath mats and bed linen are provided but not towels or cot linen. Pets are welcome @ £16 per pet. There is a large outdoor play area which has swings, slide and trampoline. There is also a play barn with a table tennis table and table football. Fishing is free to guests, with tackle hire, if required. There is a laundry room (WM takes £1 coins) in case you get covered in mud! Electricity is via a meter which takes £1 coins.
