Denis Wick Cornet mouthpiece size '2L' for Bb Cornet in gold plate.  The mouthpiece is in very good condition some minor marks/blemishes from storage and a light 'pitting' to the gold plate of the rim but this is smooth. There are no chips/scuffs or anything to affect playability.  The gold plate is all intact with no wear.  Please note that although in good order (see previous feedback comments) the mouthpiece is not being sold 'as new' but is unused/unboxed, this is however a genuine Denis Wick mouthpiece and not a second, they were all boxed as new but became water damaged from storage so best described as shop soiled.  Photo is of the actual item offered.

This mouthpiece gives the largest cornet sound ever heard, it is recommended to players with well trained strong embouchures.  Makes an ideal 2nd or 3rd cornet mouthpiece for specialists in the low register, where it matches the medium bore trombone sound.

 

Note: The 2L mouthpiece is identical to the '2' with the exception of the shank.  These were special order mouthpieces with a large fitting for use with American and Japanese makes of cornet.  These were discontinued at some point during the 1980's when I presume all shank sizes were standardised.
