These LCD screen protective covers, from Delkin Devices, also double as glare guards.

Buttons on these Professional shades are aligned with those on your camera. They significantly reduce the wear and tear on these delicate switches, by ensuring that regarless of the angle that you press/stab the button on the Pro Hood, the camera button is pressed centrally and straight.

They are sturdy and lightweight and are easily installed (and removed), but most importantly they help to protect a digital camera's expensive LCD screen. The cover pops up to form a three-sided canopy over the LCD to diminish glare and folds right back down when you're finished. Even with the shade flipped up, an optically clear piece of plastic guards the LCD preventing damage to the screen.
