This excellent book takes as its starting point the tragedy of September 11th and the fear, incomprehension and loss of a sense of safety in the world that this invoked. From here Deepak first suggests a "deeper wound" which results in this eruption on the surface of humanity and to which we all contribute with every negative thought, every grievance or intolerance that we harbour. He then expands, with positivity, compassion and understanding into the deeper issues surrounding fear and loss. This section is personal, accessible and inspirational.

The second half of the book is a series of 100 daily affirmations which help the reader to move forward and positively take charge of their own destiny and relationship with the world.

Full of insights, personal illustrations and a deep empathy it is a book worthy of a place on every bookshelf.
