Daum Nancy Exquisite Cameo Cabinet Piece -Thistles-1906

This Daum Nancy cameo glass "miniature vase" cabinet piece is exquisite in every detail.  The raised "thistle plant" motif is sharp and precise.  It is polished glass with with the design details painted in gold, red and black.  Other cameo features are "Nancy 1906" painted in gold, and the "Cross of Lorraine" painted in gold and silver with black highlights.  There are bands of gold around the top and bottom.  The background is of an intricately carved sandy/pebbled texture design.  The color of the glass varies from dark amber at the bottom to light amber at the top.  The piece is signed in gold on the bottom.

The piece is 2" (5 cm.) high.  There is a tiny fleabite (see photo) on the rim of the piece.  I've had this wonderful example of Daum's finest workmanship in my collection for many years.  Now it's time for someone else to enjoy it.
