Voice processing takes place on the DataVoice® recording boards and recordings are immediately cached to allow access to approximately 15,000 to 164,000 channel hours.

The system can be configured to Archive all or selected recordings, stored in the cache, to one Archiving device. It is possible to configure the system so that the same recording will be Archived to more than one device to create backup copies of Archiving media. Alternatively, the recording will be Archived in a sequential manner on the recorder device.

Optional components of a DataVoice® recording system include:

Recording Controller; The Recording Controller is a Windows NT® or MS 2000 service that interfaces with various external-switching devices. The main purpose of the Controller is to start and stop recordings via the network and add additional CTI information.

Central Player;

The Central Player provides facilities to playback a selected recording via a standard telephone instrument.

Workstation Access Control;

Playback of recordings and general system management are activated from a Workstation connected to the recorder via the LAN or WAN. The Workstation can be implemented on any standard PC running MS 95/98, MS 2000, NT® or MS XP. An industry standard sound card can be used on the Workstation to playback call records.
