Danbury Mint Irish Castle Tower Cloves Spice Jar

From 1990 - 1993, I collected a set of Spice Jars From Around The World, each jar depicting a particular spice which is linked to a particular country. The jars are manufactured in a crockery china material by Danbury Mint. All of the information relating to the authenticity of this spice jar is clearly written on the underneath of the jar. The top section lifts off and it has a plastic bung around the inner stopper. This is where you fill the jar.

This particular spice jar is of an Irish Castle Tower and it has the word Cloves printed in a black font along the baseline margin. The castle tower is very detailed and there is a lovely green Irish clover leaf right above the portcullis entrance. There is a very slight chip out of the top of the tower right at the front which has been glued back in place and another tiny chip out of the top gold line also right at the front of the tower. It stands 10.5 cm tall. The base is 5 cm wide.
