Please be reassured - we have been shipping valuable and fragile antiques and the like to all parts of the world for many years so it is done professionally. This includes shipping furniture, glass items, ceramics, porcelain and other delicate items. Where necessary the item will be crated - i.e. a wooden structure is built around the object for 100% security in addition to packaging, corrugated cardboard, bubble wrap and other protective materials. All of our shipping quotes include insurance - we have not had to resort to this with any of our transactions to date. All our Antique items are shipped with a "Declaration Certificate" completed by us to ensure that no import duty or taxes are payable by the purchaser.


We can arrange quotes for you so please contact us - it is the buyers responsibility to pay for shipping although often we will help with this cost depending on the item. We also offer reductions on multiple purchases - please email for details. On big items shipping costs, especially trans-Atlantic, can be quite high. We are obviously always just passing this cost on - we will also shop around for the cheapest quote to your door. Rates are based on cubic space taken up in the container on the ship and distance for delivery to your door from the nearest port. In many instances we will help spread the load with shipping costs. We are flexible - we can arrange delivery to the nearest port for your own pick up. Average delivery time to US is 4-6 weeks depending where inland the destination is.

Unlike many other material purchases antiques retain and increase in value. They are a sound investmentas they appreciate in value - aesthetically and economically. That is why frequently people invest in antiques rather than stocks and shares when the economic climate is not favourable. Of course all our items are hand sourced and picked by us so we like to think they are beautiful too and will look great in your homes!

Remember most antiques will show some wear as they are old and have been used. In some instances there might be prior repairs that we are not aware of. No refunds will be made due to a
repair allegedly de-valuing the item. We are highly experienced with antiques, but are not professional appraisers. We make no guarantees on the age or appraised value of these antiques.
If we state an age in our description, it is correct to the best of our knowledge. In the unlikely event that an item is damaged in shipping we will repair or replace the item with a similar item, at our discretion, and of course try to make you as happy as possible. We are professional and have been in the antique business for over 30 years. We are committed to EXCELLENCE and our staff are trained to treat our customer's right!
