DUNOON Solid Silver ENAMEL SPOON Hallmarked 1924 NR

This is a lovely RARE VINTAGE solid sterling silver tea or coffee spoon that was made in Birmingham, England in 1920 by the famous silversmiths, Joseph Cook & Son at their Livery Street workshops. It has a stunning ornate enamel crest design to the handle and Forward and DUNOON inlaid in enamel. The spoon is 4 5/8" long overall and the gilded bowl measures almost 1" wide. It weighs 12.4 grams - almost 1/2 troy oz.

It is in pretty good condition with just the usual surface scratching - see photograph - and, unusually, NO dinks or dents and little distortion. There is little damage to the enamel. It is hallmarked on the reverse of the bowl with J.C&S, anchor, lion passant (sterling silver assay mark), v showing that it was hallmarked in Birmingham in 1920. I have shown the hallmarks so that you can make up your own mind. A very rare Dunoon enamel spoon after almost 90 years at a very low start!!! Postage will be 2.50GBP both within the UK and to international destinations.
