The McDonnell Douglas DC-10 is an American three-engine medium- to long-range widebody airliner, with two engines mounted on underwing pylons and a third engine at the base of the vertical stabilizer. The model was a successor to the company's DC-8 for long-range operations, and competed in the same markets as the Airbus A300, Boeing 747, and Lockheed L-1011 Tristar, which has a similar layout to the DC-10. Production of the DC-10 ended in December 1988 with 386 delivered to airlines and 60 to the U.S. Air Force as air-to-air refueling tankers, designated the KC-10 Extender. The DC-10 was succeeded by the related McDonnell Douglas MD-11 which entered service in 1990.
ALTHOUGH BESET WITH PROBLEMS IN ITS EARLY YEARS, IT BECAME A FAVOURITE WITH PILOTS AND PASSENGERS ALIKE, MANY WERE SAD TO SEE ITS RETIREMENT FROM THE MAJOR WORLD AIRLINES. THE LAST ONE RETIRED FROM A MAJOR AIRLINE WAS FROM NORTHWEST.

ITEMS FROM AIRLINES WHICH ARE NOW NO LONGER FLYING ARE ALSO FETCHING PREMIUM PRICES.

As I am Selling a collection I check to see if there are any faults or imperfections , which are listed in the description of the item.
Items which are wrongly described may be returned within One week. As the items I sell are aimed at collectors, the stickers I sell will generally have lost their adhesive qualities over the years , the older they are the more likely this is so. I will not accept returns of this kind.
I do not accept items back which have been bought by mistake as constant handling and posting eventually decreases the value of the items.
