NO. 903 FODEN FLAT TRUCK

EXCELLENT-NEAR MINT IN EXCELLENT-NEAR MINT BOX

 
 
The Dinky Foden Flat Truck Tailboard. Renumbered from 503. Advertised in the August 1955 Meccano magazine for 7/9 and in the April and August 1958 issues for 8/9. Made between 1954 and 1957. The original price was 7/3.

Unbelievable item - this colour scheme really is like gold dust, and comes in the correct dual-numbered box. The model has a few chis to the face of the cab and a very small number of scattered chips: as you can tell from the photos they are barely visible. The box is excellent, just a few small marks but nothing distracting. This model will look incredible on display! As always, if you're not happy with one of our models, simply return it for a full refund. Easy peasy.

*Dinky Toys, owned by Meccano / Hornby, were diecast vehicles made in the UK between 1931 and 1979. They were driven out of business by the likes of cheaper, foreign owned competitors such as corgi toys,
hot wheels, matchbox and Triang 'spot-on'. Foden, Bedford, Guy and Leyland were amongst its more popular lines - but unfortunately, towards the end of production, less popular than the likes of the Corgi 267
Batmobile or Corgi 261 James Bond Goldfinger Aston Martin DB5. Dinky Toys have become hugely collectable, and mint &/or boxed models, pre-war cars and rare colour variations tend to attract the best values.
