The Dinky Chrysler Royal Sedan. This rare model was produced between 1950 and 1952 for the U.S.A. market.


This frankly stunning model is in a simply unbeatable condition given its age and rarity. The imperfections are sparse: there are a couple of miniscule flecks to the paintwork, a couple to the bumper and a small light brown stain on the roof. That's all!. It is worth mentionning that this is only the third example I have ever seen in this colour scheme and the first in the 'yellow hubs' scheme (although this is not the first to be recorded). I cannot stress enough that this model is COMPLETELY original and had just one owner from new. It has been stored in a cabinet for its whole life and fully retains the splendour of its bold mustard yellow paintwork contrasted against the fiery red second tone. A truly jaw-dropping item.

*Dinky Toys, owned by Meccano / Hornby, were diecast vehicles made in the UK between 1931 and 1979. They were driven out of business by the likes of cheaper, foreign owned competitors such as corgi toys,
hot wheels, matchbox and triang 'spot-on'. Foden, Bedford, Guy and Leyland were amongst its more popular lines - but unfortunately, towards the end of production, less popluar than the likes of the Corgi 267
Batmobile or Corgi 261 James Bond Goldfinger Aston Martin DB5. Dinky Toys have become hugely collectable, and mint &/or boxed models, pre-war cars and rare colour variations tend to attract the best values.
