DECO VANTINES BEST NUDE EGYPTIAN LADY INCENSE BURNER NR

 NO RESERVE................................................................................................................This auction is for one of Vantine’s two best , and largest Incense Burners they made . They other also being a female figure , that I have , and will auction later . This figure of an Egyptian , mostly nude female , that appears to be holding an offering vessel . I’ve had 2 of these over the years , and this one for several years . The figure measures approx. a tad over 9 in. tall , and about 3 1/2 in. square at the bottom . The painted finish is original with no touch ups , but I’m not sure on the burner pot top . I have always had my suspicions , that the top may not be original , even though it fit the pot . You have to look close , but the top looks to be just a slight different shade green . The figure does not have the Vantine’s name imprinted in the metal  , but was likely marked on the original felt bottom , that was missing when I purchased this . The other figure that I had , that was identical to this one , had the original felt bottom on it , that had the Vantine’s name on it . The Vantine’s name was in fancy  black script writing , machine stenciled on the felt . The felt bottom that is now on this piece , is something that I put on it , right after I purchased it . It’s a nice heavy solid piece , with nice details , and in excellent condition , with no cracks , or repairs . There is some minor age finger wear on the finish , mostly on the bottom of her chin , and on her center chest , right at the edge of the pot lip . This is likely from the human hand rubbing these areas , when putting incense cones in the pot . It’s a great old ultra Art Deco piece , that has been well cared for over the years .
