DESCRIPTION.

Please find for sale a high quality sterling silver box with wood lined interior made by Dunhill of London. The decoration arond the lid and feet being Celtic motifs, the lid having engine turned engraving and the box having canted corners.

This is a box of good proportion and weight and is suitable for storing a multitude of objects, the central wooden divider being removeable.

SIZE (25.4mm to the inch )

The size is 178mm wide x 92mm deep x 55mm tall. Approx.

WEIGHT (31.1g to the troy ounce)

The weight is 795g. Approx.

CONDITION.

This is in fairly good condition with no undue wear, damage or repair. There are two dents to the front of the box, one to the top right and the other lower center. The lid opens and closes nicely but is not a tight fit. The box sits squarely on a flat surface without wobble.

HALLMARKS & MAKER.

The hallmarks are for London, 1938.

The base is marked 'Dunhill London'.
