NAVAJO, DEAD PAWN, SILVER & TURQUOISE "FLOWER" RING, SIZE 6+1/4
Here's a dead pawn, turquoise & silver ring that we purchased from a well known pawn trader in western New Mexico, adjacent to the Navajo Reservation.
The ring, made to simulate a flower, contains six teardrop shaped pieces of turquoise that are set in silver bezels and applied silver adornments including twisted ropes, curls and raindrop beads.
This size 6+1/4 ring weighs 5 grams and it measures 1" long.
Due to State laws that regulate what information pawn traders are allowed to give out we were unable to obtain the name of ring's maker. However we were told that it was made by a local Navajo artist.
There is no mark indicating the ring's silver content.
This
wonderful example of genuine, handmade, Native American craftsmanship
will make a great gift for yourself, or for that special someone in
your life.
