NAVAJO, DEAD PAWN, SILVER & TURQUOISE BAND RING, SIZE 7
Here's a dead pawn, turquoise & silver ring that we purchased from a well known pawn trader in western New Mexico, adjacent to the Navajo Reservation.
The ring features an oval shaped turquoise stone at the center with hand stamped designs on either side of the stone
This size 7 ring weighs 4 grams and it measures 1/4" wide.
Due to State laws that regulate what information pawn traders are allowed to give out we were unable to obtain the name of ring's maker. However we were told that it was made by a local Navajo artist.
As with most older Native American made jewelry there is no mark indicating the ring's silver content.
We don't know how old this ring is but it's condition is like new.
This
wonderful example of genuine, handmade, Native American craftsmanship
will make a great gift for yourself, or for that special someone in
your life.
