DEAD PAWN NAVAJO SILVER FLUTED BENCH BEAD NECKLACE~LOOK

Here's a beautiful, handmade, bench bead necklace that we found in a pawn shop near Zuni Pueblo. It is Navajo made and signed with the letters TSO on the last bead before the hook and eye clasp, and we've recently been told that it's the mark of Virginia Tso.

The necklace was made with beads that graduate down from the front 6 which are the largest, 4 on each side slightly smaller, then a melon bead on each side, 10 smaller fluted beads after that, and the smallest beads, 6 to a side with the last bead on each side being plain rather than fluted. One of those beads has the hallmark (see picture). There are a total of 48 beads in the necklace  The beads are strung on a silver chain. Although we could not find a sterling mark on the necklace, we're sure it's sterling...the patina is deep and rich in color.

The necklace measures 25 1/2 inches in length including it's clasp and it weighed in at 88 grams on our postage scale. It's age is unknown.

If you look at the pictures displayed below you can see the detail and quality of the fluted silver beads. There is some wear on some of the bead seams, but it's still in great condition.

This is a piece any collector would love to own...and wear.
