THIS IS A VINTAGE DARTMOUTH POTTERY MOTTO WARE JUG.  DECORATED WITH A SCENE OF A HOUSE ON ONE SIDE AND "To thine own self be true" ON THE OTHER SIDE.  NICELY MOULDED HANDLE.  MAKER'S STAMP IS ON THE UNDERSIDE. 

HEIGHT IS 3.75" (9.4CM).

IN GOOD CONDITION - NO CHIPS OR CRACKS.  THERE APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN SOME RESTORATION WORK CARRIED OUT TO THE RIM, AND THERE IS SOME CRAZING TO THE GLAZE.
