This beautiful STERLING SFR-300DN dark nickel plated double french horn is the perfect choice for a student or intermediate player. This horn is brand new and has never been played.

The double horn combines two instruments into a single frame: the original horn in F, and a second, higher horn keyed in B-flat. By using a fourth valve (operated by the thumb), the horn player can quickly switch from the deep, warm tones of the F horn to the higher, brighter tones of the B-flat horn.

Its conical bore is largely responsible for its characteristic tone, often described as "mellow". This model horn has accurate intonation and comfortable, quick response. The SFR-300 is a Geyer style horn with medium-large throat for moderate resistance to air flow.

The Sterling brand is far superior to most instruments found on eBay, equivalent to the Jupiter brand, but, at around half the price. Each instrument is play tested and quality checked before shipping ensuring you only get the best.
