This is a dark green, 1870's soda bottle. It is embossed on the front of the bottle: J. CASPER LANCASTER, PA..  The back has an embossed large boxed letter "C".  Smooth base. The bottle was dug about 40 years ago on the Eastern Shore of Virginia near Eastville, Va..  It has an applied blob top. It has two sma;; 1/4 inch cracks. Has a small chip on the collar under the top. This bottle would look nice after a light tumble.  The bottle stands 6 & 3/4 inches tall. If you collect early embossed Soda / Mineral Water bottles, items from the J. CASPER Company or items from LANCASTER, Pa. / Pennsylvania then you might like this for your collection. I have a low starting bid on this item with  NO RESERVE !!!
