1) When you place a Bid etc., for any of my items for sale you are agreeing to be legally bound by a contract to purchase and pay for the item if you are the winning Bidder or Purchaser.
2) You are agreeing to pay the full amount for which you are invoiced, including packing, postage and fees, if applicable, within seven days of the completion of the sale on Ebay. Failure to make your payment within seven days may result in action being taken which could lead to your Ebay account being closed or suspended.
3) If you make a mistake and/or change your mind you are still legally obliged to pay. So please be sure that you only Bid if you are prepared to pay.
4) Where postage rates are included or quoted separately they are for the UK only unless otherwise stated. I am willing to post outside the UK so please ask for the price before bidding. If you bid without asking for a quote for the packing and postage
you are agreeing to pay the full amount which will be invoiced to you. However, please be assured that my standard rates for this are genuine and reasonable based on the time, effort and expense involved. Please do not make a ‘best guess’ at the packing and postage cost as invariably this incurs delays, additional costs and fees.
5) Generally the items will be posted the next working day (usually a maximum of two working days) after your payment has been made and confirmed.
6) The items I post are rarely lost or damaged but in the instance of this happening it will be entirely the purchaser’s responsibility to obtain from Royal Mail and process the forms to make a claim. I cannot be held responsible once the item has been posted to you. I will of course, at your request, send to you a copy of the official receipt I receive from the Post Office for you to make your claim. Please note that Post Office receipts will only be kept on file for one calendar month from the date of despatch.
7) If you are the successful bidder for an item please leave your feedback within seven days of receipt of the goods and I will then leave my feedback for you. Please be assured that I am willing to discuss any problems and misunderstandings in a genuine effort to resolve such situations amicably, but I am not prepared to tolerate unreasonable or fictitious claims, threatening or insulting language. In instances such as this it will be reported to Ebay and may result in your Ebay account being closed or suspended.
8) You are welcome to collect your item(s) which you have purchased personally, where practical, and by prior mutually acceptable arrangement. Note that you must make this collection within a maximum of seven days after the close of the sale of the item on Ebay unless otherwise agreed, so please be sure you are able to do this before you purchase.
9) I am aware that you may feel that these terms and conditions are onerous but unfortunately not all buyers act in a responsible manner. Thus these have been stated for our mutual benefit in an effort to avoid misunderstandings arising. I have been selling on Ebay for some years now and as you will see from my feedback score, I have many satisfied buyers and I wish to keep it that way.
10) In conclusion may I just reiterate that by bidding for any of my items on the Ebay auction or in my Ebay shop you are agreeing to be bound by the above detailed terms and conditions.
Thank you, good luck and happy bidding.
