***Very old stock, found whilst moving - specimens of this original quality are just not available any longer - the specimens on the market tend to be heavily restored with car filler, if genuine at all!***

Large and stunning specimen which makes a very impressive display piece.

Dating to the Lower Cambrian Period - c. 550 million years BP

Excavated at a site near Alnif, South East Morocco.

This is a large good specimen which measures

8 1/2"/216mm

on a slab which measures

10 1/4"/260mm

Substantial piece weighing

approx 2.100kg/4lb 10oz

* Repaired as always but NOT heavily restored - this specimen is from 5 year+ old stock and is of a quality that is just not available any longer from this site - specimens currently appearing direct from Morocco are VERY heavily restored, often with car filler (slightly shiney appearance) or are 90%+ fake - this piece has very little restoration in comparison - VERY RARE and becoming rarer every time we visit Morocco to restock.*

VERY good detail for these pieces which are always restored, despite this fact rarely being mentioned and offer EXCELLENT value for money and a huge fossil for little more than a small 1" trilobite!

GENUINE HUGE TRILOBITE and without reserve!!!!!

Breaks to these and many Moroccan trilobites are usual especially as size increases as the usual method of extracting rock from the mountain side is to use explosives. These very large specimens are repaired and restored from smaller pieces to present a stunningly large fossil which is very affordable.
