“Mint Julep”

5 piece ensemble comprising:

Coat

Which is full skirted with pretty stitch pattern, falling from simple yoke.  Here it has been given added impact with the addition of silk ribbon pearl centred bows.  The sleeve  follow the main stitch pattern which progresses to a flared edge.  They are 3/4 length to allow the sleeves on the dress beneath to show.  This helps to emphasise the unusual sleeve style of the coat.  The yoke is outlined with narrow detailing and silk ribbon bows with pearl centres give added dimension to the finished look.mock  smoking on the yoke. 

Brimmed Hat

This is worked at the crown to match the yoke of the Coat.  The brim is then worked in the main stitch pattern to form a turned back brim, held in place by a decorative addition.

Angel Top

Has contrast colour yoke  outlined in the main colour for emphasis as is the neckline also.  It is worked in matching stitch pattern to the coat which looks well left plain, but also affords a good background for embellishment. 

The skirt area is worked in the main yarn and main stitch pattern which naturally produces a flared shape to the hemline. 

The sleeves are full at the shoulder, narrowing to a fitted finish and completed with detailing to match that on the yoke and neckline.

Pantaloons

Completed in contrast colour, these are knee length and roomy enough to cover a nappy.  They have been given a dressy look by adding a frill in the main yarn colour and stitch pattern detail to each leg to co-ordinate with the Angel Top.

Sockshoes

Completed as one piece but changes of yarn colour producing a shoe with integral sock.  The socks have been left plain, but would look lovely with lace added to the top edge.  Silk bows have been added.  

This is  an outfit ideally suitable for your little cherub or reborn. 

Completed in double knit yarn.
