Crankshaft Reclamation (Alvis,Rolls Royce, Bentley)

Jem Engines can reclaim knocked out Crankpins, worn main bearing journals and thrust faces. The Reclamation is carried out using the well proven Gleason procedure of Sub Arc Welding. This is a two wire system where the radius and journals are reclaimed using different wires allowing the Crankshaft to have flexible radii and the Journal to have good wear resistance. This process must not be confused with metal spraying or chrome plating!

This process is ideally suited to vintage or hard to obtain replacement crankshafts as the price of recaliming for example a Ford Transit or Peugeot car crank would not be economically viable. The max length of the Crankshaft that we can accomodate for reclamation is 75cm at the moment.
