The painting is original watercolour art and not a print or reproduction.  It has been painted on high quality pressional watercolour paper using the finest honey watercolour paints.  Honey based paints offer a very long lasting and intense quality.  It has been signed by the artist and measured 12" x 9" and would normally retail in a gallery for about £100.

My life as an artist began in Moscow in an ordinary art school. I didn't always know I would be an artist. I never liked drawing or painting but my tutors always told me I could be good artist if I was not so lazy; they said that I should do more work for art study and not keep creating something new. Everything has been done before me and I must study  the styles of other artists.  But I always thought that what made another people great was not interesting any more; what was interesting was the process of painting; for me, a picture dies it’s finished.  After I finished art school, I forgot about painting for a long time.

After I had married and moved to England, my husband bought me a child’s watercolour set. We were quite in need of money. First, I painted a dog which sold immediately; but I really hated doing it; if paint, need paint what you really like - what you really can do best.  Since then, I have started to some success internationally and nationally, in UK.  My work has been collected throughout the world and is available from a number of galleries in the UK as well as some on the internet.

Colours, composition and life are my passion; even after finishing a picture lot of people say that my paintings have a lot movement and life - I hope they do.
