The Coronation 1953 – unused pull-out postcard containing 17 colour / coloured photos of Queen Elizabeth II. This is a charming and good quality pull-out postcard souvenir of the 1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. It was probably printed early in that year and sold during the Spring / Summer months. It is a pull-out postcard measuring just under 6” x 4” and the front has a large crown that lifts up to reveal a little ‘concertina’ booklet of 17 photographs of the life of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The first shows Princess Elizabeth aged 2 in 1928 and the rest follow through her childhood and into adulthood. All the images are in colour, although some of the earlier ones have obviously been coloured after the event. There are some interesting images such as Princess Elizabeth’s first broadcast to the nation in 1940, sixteenth birthday in 1942, the Christening of Princess Anne and various others. The card was printed as a Coronation Souvenir by Logga Ltd of Hounslow, Middlesex. It was never used and is in perfect clean condition with no fading or yellowing etc.
