We are asked regularly for metal powders and have searched the country for some of the best to use with your polyester and epoxy resin cold casting, but also very useable for repair of deformities in wood like shakes and knots.

As an atomised powder you dont get a better metal powder!

Use in moderation so that you do not overfill! The normal addition ratio for this product is between 1:1 and 1.5:1 powder to resin by weight.

Once the resin is cured the surface can be either sanded with a fine wet and dry or a fine wire wool can be used to bring out the metal from the plastic. This can then be polished with metal polish to give real shine. The method takes some perfecting but the results are very aesthetically pleasing! Metal casting without the need for melting metal!

By adding a dark pigment like black to the resin before pouring can enrich the depth of the piece and different effects can be achieved by colouring differently.

We have been supplying Polyester Casting Resin and Mould Making Supplies for many years and can offer full datasheets to go along with our product as well as safety and handling data, a legal requirement. These are emailed as links for download at the end of the auction. This item is not considered hazardous but may cause eye or lung irritation.

Item is packaged in a sealed plastic bag and is dry on despatch. Raw metal powder has been photographed to illustrate the basic colour which will darken on casting.
