The Shirt: Signed on the front at Manchester Academy by Tom Bellamy (bass), Kieron Mahon (keyboards), Jon Harper (drums), Ben Gautry (vocal) and Dan Fisher (guitar). Kieron adds the message "Wear Me Well", Jon Harper adds "TCTC Manchester 2007". It is a very good quality "Sandbag" tee-shirt and has been worn only once. Size: Large. Aprrox 53cm wide and 71cm long.
The Band: Terrific band. A five piece from Wokingham in Berkshire, formed in 1998 signing to RCA in 2000 with a series of singles and E.P.s. The first being "The Crayon Demos" in July 2000, "The Hardware E.P." and "Way Out West" in March 2001 followed by "The Warfare E.P." in June. The next release "Let's Kill Music" was their first skirmish with the U.K. chart peaking at No.41, the next "Film-Maker" / "Been Training Dogs" did even better scraping into the bottom end of the top twenty. The debut album "See This Thing Through And Leave" included the previous two singles and was released on February 11th making No.38 in the U.K. album chart and spawning the next single "Who Needs Enemies" which just missed the top twenty peaking at No.22, September's release "A.I.M." however failed to make any impression. The second album "Kick Up the Fire" came out on September 8th 2003 achieving what would be their highest chart position of No.5, two singles from the album "Promises, Promises" and "Blind Pilots" both charted at No.19 and No.37 respectively. Suddenly Didz Hammond quit to join ex-Libertine Carl Barat in The Dirty Pretty Things. This caused a major delay in plans to bring out this, the third album "Make This Your Own" which was released in January 2007, me and my girlfriend were fortunate enough to catch them live at Manchester Academy soon after. Four singles were released from the album, the first "Damage" failed to make an impression but the next "Homo Sapiens" got into the top 40, "Waiting Game" narrowly missed at No.41 followed by "Head" the release of which was rather overshadowed by the news that Dan had left and that they had split.
