A beautiful French Louis style bedroom suite comprising: Dressing table with a triple mirror. Stool Chest of five drawers Chest of three drawers Double wardrobe 2x bedside cabinets with optional headboard Standard lamp with shade The furniture was made in the late sixties/early seventies, the wardrobe and bedsides by the renowned WALNUT CABINET WORKS of London; the rest of the suite (except for the lampstand) by Jarman and Platt. Beautiful styling and excellent construction. It is painted off white with gilt highlights to the mouldings. Slight colour difference between the Walnut Cabinet Works pieces and the Jarman and Platt pieces in that the former have a very slight grey tinge to them. Beautiful match nevertheless. Drawers are wood lined with dovetailed joints. Lovely handles. The dressing table is from the top range by J&P with lovely mouldings. Ample jewellery space. The matching stool is just as ornate. The drop-in seat needs re-covering but I am sure you will want to match it to your decór and it is very easy to do. The matching chests are among the prettiest I have seen. The larger has five drawers and the smaller three. One for clothes and the other for erm, well....you know. The smaller of the two had two small screw holes where the previous owner had attached something - I have filled them in and will dab some paint on. The wardrobe is what is called a "lady's wardrobe" in that it has hanging space all the way across (plus a hat-shelf) as opposed to the gent's version with the cubbie holes. It has a 3/4 length mirror to the right hand door. The matching bedside cabinets are to die for! Beautifully proportioned with two drawers, glass tops and graceful legs. The headboard is optional as not everyone needs them. Just let me know. It is made for a 4'6" divan but I also have another that has been adjusted for a king-size. The bolts will be included. The standard lamp has a beautiful shade which looks to be of silk - don't hold me to that though as I am not sure :)   We regularly list beautiful bedroom furniture and can advise you when the items you are seeking are being listed. STORAGE Furniture items are stored at our premises free of charge for 3 weeks from purchase date. Thereafter any delay in collection or payment not caused by ourselves will attract storage costs at the rate of £4.00 per week per item, which are payable before shipment or collection may take place. This payment should be made through PayPal or cash on collection in order to avoid further delay. RETURNS All our items are offered with a peace of mind 7 day guarantee should you not be satisfied with the item purchased.
