This auction features a fully functional CD-RW DVD drive pulled from a Compaq EVO N610C laptop. The same model player is used in several laptops by different manufacturers. Some models have different trim out plastics to match the laptop model This one comes with the black faceplate used on several compaq models like the EVO, E, & M series models. For other models like IBM, Toshiba, and Dell the bare drive will work but you will need to use your old faceplate plastics from the unit you are replacing. Software is not included. Almost all popular brands will work with this unit and many are free.
