1 mil Mylar ® D. The best and most expensive raw plastic material available for permanent protection and storage, yet, manufactured and distributed at the lowest possible prices.

Mylar ® D is far ahead of other plastics in resistance to: ageing, decomposition, moisture, oxygen and gas penetration. It acts as a barrier to acid migration and will not yellow or decompose. It has no volatile chemical reactions. It is immune to insect and rodent attack, and is not effected by fungus, mould or mildew.

Mylar ® D lacks only one possitive attribute: it is not as inexpensive as other plastics. Because Mylites are only 1 mil, rather than  4 mil, they offer a solution to the problem of expense.


Mylites are available in three sizes: 711M (7" x 11") for Bronze Age and modern comics, 725M (7¼" x 11") for Silver Age comics and 775M (7¾" x 11") for Golden Age comics.
