Siox Warrior

Sioux means Lesser Snake in Chippawa.They call themselves Lakota,meaning friend

Traditionally,the Lakota followed and hunted buffalo from place to place,which is why they lived in lightweight tents called Tipis,that could be taken apart quickly.  The Lakota people used buffalo to provide everything they needed to survive,it was considered a Sprit Being by the Lakota and is central to the traditiditional religion of the Lakota.The Lakota decorate their clothing with beadwork and designs to honour the sprit world.Today, the Lakota have reservations in North and South Dakota and Montana.
