This is an Original Coca-Cola No-Drip Bottle Protector from the 1940's. They were made to absorb the "sweat" from the ice cold bottles and protect furniture from the water marks. The protector is in mint condition with no flaws and has never been used. On the front, it says "Drink Coca-Cola Delicious and Refreshing", "A Great Drink...With Good Things To Eat", a line that says "Fold Here", "U.S. Patents1,632,347, June14, 1927 and 1,891,892, Dec. 20, 1932, "No-Drip Bottle Protector" Trade-Mark Reg. U.S. Patent Office 283078, No-Drip Company - 2242 Grove St. - Chicago, Ill. There is a print of a young man and woman dressed very nicely standing next to a grill. He has his hand in one pocket of his suit and is drinking a ice cold Coke. She is holding a ice cold Coke in one hand and roasting a hot dog on a stick over a grill. The round disc icon is in the top left corner behind them. There is nothing on the back of the card. It is made from paper with a slightly shiny surface. It measures approx. 6 1/2" tall by 3 3/4" wide. I believe this was released in the 40's era. A truly unique and well preserved item for your collection! |
