For sale here two Clarkes of Lincoln ointment pots for the cure of bad legs boils etc.

The left one is usual glazed earthenware with a good transfer.

There are no chips but it has hairline cracks and a scratch on the front. Staining and underglaze crazing.

The right one is I think china with overglaze transfer. This shows signs of wear.

No chips or cracks. There is a small unglazed patch on the rim from manufacture.

They are just under 1½ inches, 37mm, high.
