This lot is for a Cisco PIX 525 Firewall - Latest version of PIX OS (8.04). - Latest version of PIX GUI software (Cisco Adaptive Security Device Manager) - ASDM 6.3 - Unrestricted licence - 256MB RAM. 16MB Flash. - 8 Fast Ethernet interfaces. - Enabled for DES/3DES/AES. - Enabled for 2 Security Contexts. - Condition - good. The slight scratch here or there - normal for rack mounted kit. Note that front fascia is missing. This does not affect performance whatsoever (or even cosmetic value for that matter as these are rear mounted!) - Rack mount ears not included but available on your favourite auction site for £6 - the 525 uses the same 2U ears as the 3640. - Free delivery by courier (FedEx or DHL). This is a powerful firewall designed for enterprise environments - with significantly better processing and throughput than the 515/515E. Note this is the unrestricted licence which supports a much larger number of physical and logical interfaces. The eight physical fast ethernet interfaces can be configured for a total of 100 VLANs. On top of that, the device supports two security contexts meaning that you can have two totally separate instances of the device (ACLs, users, interfaces, etc). There is support for an unlimited number of internal hosts and VPN peers. Finally, the PIX is running the latest version of OS - 8.04 and ASDM for simplified management. This is very similar to Cisco IOS and simplifies management. Config and passwords have been cleared having recently been removed from a lab environment. A great piece of kit for your CCNA Sec/CCSP/CCIE Sec studies - this is a seriously powerful beast! ASA look+feel and functionality at a fraction of the cost!
