CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS Moulds

NAME OF MOULD: Christmas Starter blister pack - Bird and Candle with holly.

CONTENTS: includes mould, release powder, support boards & 2 bands, casting ladle, 2 half bars of model metal, casting & painting guides.

Example shown are painted versions (not included).

GIFT IDEA: Ideal for personalizing your Christmas tree. Just cast and paint these as many times as you require, then hang with ribbon on the tree. There are 2 decorations per mould. These are flat casts and easy to paint, if desired. You can leave them unpainted and just polish them or paint them partially, according to personal taste and creativity. Average dimensions are 50mm x 45mm (bell) when cast.

You can cast up to 500 times using our moulds before needing to replace the mould.

When cool, open mould and bend mould to remove figure.

CASTING GUIDE: (requires casting equipment & metal not included but available in my ebay shop)

Apply release powder to both mould halves evenly.
Gently clap the moulds together to remove excess powder.
Add the two support boards to the sides of the moulds and hold firmly together with the metal clamps.
Melt metal in the casting ladle. Use a worn match to check that the metal is at the correct temperature. If the match smokes lightly when placed in the metal it means that it is ready to pour.
Pour carefully into the mould holes and tap lightly to settle metal.
When cool (5 minutes), open the mould and bend the mould away from the figure to remove it.
Clip away any excess metal off the figure and base, file to keep base flat. Polish with a wire brush.
Your figure is ready to paint. We advise undercoating it first and varnishing it when finished painting to protect it.

CASTING WARNING: Metal casting is NOT a toy. Prince August Model Metal & Standard Metal contain lead and are recommended for children over 14 years. Adult supervision is needed. Protect worktops from hot metal by covering then with a newspaper or a sheet of hard board. Any spilled metal can be removed after it cooled down. Do not cool down the metal or mould with water. Explosion Risk!. Moulds and metal taken from cold storage should be allowed to warm up before use by leaving them in a warm room. Safety tested under En71.

Return policy

Fully functioning product: You are entitled to return the product for a refund within a maximum of 10 calendar days after receipt of your order. You will be refunded the price of the product and VAT, provided that the item is returned in tact and in a resaleable condition. Shipping costs will not be refunded. Please follow the Returns Procedure outlined below. 
Faulty Product: Mouldandminis  is committed to providing our customers with the highest quality products and service. However, on rare occasions, products may be found to be faulty or defective. In such cases we offer the returns facilities described below. 
All items are supplied with a 30 day warranty, unless specifically stated otherwise. Some items are warrantied directly with the manufacturer.
It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange and pay the full costs associated with the return of the product to Mouldandminis.  The transport option shall be the most economical carrier like post or GLS.  The shipping cost of your warranty return will be refunded if within the EU. 
Items should be returned by traceable methods of shipping and adequate insurance cover should be taken out by the customer. 
We regret we are unable to ship advance replacements. 
If an item is unrepairable or  a suitable replacement is not available, Mouldandminis reserves the right to refund the purchase price of the product , along with the original freight cost.
Returns Procedure: 
If an item develops a fault within the warranty period, please email info@princeaugust.ie in order to obtain a Return Material Authorisation number, (RMA). Please clearly write the RMA number on the outer packaging of any items being returned. All RMA numbers are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Unfortunately, we are unable to process any returns not displaying a relevant RMA number. 
Mouldandminis cannot accept responsibility for returned items which are lost or damaged in transit. The customer should, therefore, ensure that adequate insurance cover has ben taken out on any product being returned to Mouldandminis.

Most Buy It Now purchases are protected by the Distance Selling Regulations, which allow you to cancel the purchase within seven working days after the day you receive the item. Find out more about your rights as a buyerand exceptions.
