Description: This is a very nice quality twin pedestal "Chippendale Revival" two door caddy top two drawer, break front / bow front sideboard / server / dresser, of very nice quality. The sideboard stands on decorative carved ball and claw cabriole legs with shell motifs to the knees and carved scrolled aprons uniting. Rising over each are the beautiful solid mahogany doors with classic oval cabochon design deep panels with beautiful deep curved solid mahogany centres set in a figured flame mahogany frame, with carved pilasters flanking, with two bow front drawers to the centre with solid brass handles. The doors retain their original solid brass handles, coming complete with working key to the locks. The top drawer is sectioned into two for cutlery, the second drawer down having classic solid mahogany linings with hand-cut dovetails as is the upper drawer. The carved gadrooned centre section is in solid mahogany, and rising over each of the pedestals are the carved gadrooned edged caddy tops with beautiful swooping moulings and flat pedestal tops. Originally the sideboard would have been fitted with a mirror back, but this has been removed at some period. A very good quality sideboard in very nice condition. Behind the right hand door there is a single shelf and a cellarette drawer, behing the left is a single shelf and another cutlery drawer, again with baize lining. The sideboard comes complete with a working lock and key.
